The Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT) determines admission to NYC's finest public high schools, among them Stuyvesant, Bronx Science, and Brooklyn Tech.

The exam format combines:

  • Verbal:
    • Reading comprehension of fiction, poetry, non-fiction and data analysis.
    • Revising & editing for grammar and structure
  • Math:
    • Arithmetic
    • Number Knowledge
    • Algebra
    • Geometry

Success on the SHSAT requires mastering both the form and content of the exam. Our proven methods help students maximize their scores by walking them through every part of the test, exposing them to mock exams that mirror actual SHSAT test conditions, and teaching them how to manage time and their own minds under test taking conditions.

FAQs

What's the best way for my student to prepare for the SHSAT?

When should my child start preparing?

Can group classes be supplemented with one-on-one tutoring?

My son scored nearly 50 points higher on his actual test than his highest practice test so he really knocked it out of the park when it counted. I think his level of confidence for the test came from your course and all of the practice in hard work that he and the instructors put in. Thank you!
