ibidPREP offers one-on-one and custom group prep for all administrations of the ACT. Our work is complemented with diagnostic exams and our textbook: Remain Clam! Test Taking & the Teenage Mind: ACT Edition.
Students preparing for the ACTs are guided as to the material and strategy of the exam according to our fundamental approaches to reading, writing, grammar and math. Additionally, we focus on any upper level math topics students may not have been exposed to, and students are instructed how to read and interpret charts and data for the Science section.

The ACT assesses college readiness through four mandatory sections plus an optional Writing test:
Success requires mastering both content knowledge and time management. Our proven methods help students excel through:
Choosing between the SAT and ACT is an important decision. While both tests are equally accepted by colleges, each has distinct characteristics that may better suit different students:

At ibidPREP, we help students determine their best-fit test through:
When should I start preparing for the ACT?
We recommend starting preparation 3-6 months before your intended test date. This allows adequate time to master content, develop strategies, and take multiple practice tests.
How many times should I take the ACT?
Most students take the ACT 2-3 times. We recommend taking your first test after thorough preparation, then reassessing based on your score goals. Since there is super-scoring, most students look to improve one or two sections on their subsequent exams.
Do all schools accept the ACT?
Yes. All colleges accept either test equally.
What is a good ACT score?
Score competitiveness varies by institution:
Should I take the optional Science section?
Although the Science never really measure science knowledge per se, it is easily mastered and can give ou a slight bump if you're applying to schools as a STEM student.
Should I take the optional Writing section?
Very few schools currrently require the Writing test. If you're a great and fluid writer under timed circumstances, this is a good way to show your flair. Otherwise, steer clear.
Can I combine scores from different test dates?
The ACT does allow students to super-score their results if they've sat for more than one ACT. Super-scoring simply takes the best section from each exam you've taken and finds the average of those for your combined composite score.
How does ACT scoring work?
I have been working with Stuart for SAT/ACT test prep and have really enjoyed working with him! My older brothers also worked with Stuart and were very successful! He is kind, enthusiastic and dedicated to helping me with my test prep, and always goes the extra mile to provide me with extra materials and tips. My siblings and I agree that his expertise, couple with his positive tutoring style, contributed to all of our successes!
